Target group

This highly practical course aims to build confidence as well as training technique. Participants will have the opportunity of delivering two presentations with one being recorded on DVD for personal analysis.

Learning objectives

At the completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • describe the training cycle
  • conduct an audience analysis
  • write training outcomes
  • test the achievement of outcomes
  • describe the principles of adult learners
  • prepare a session plan
  • evaluate at least 10 training methodologies and training session designs
  • decide when to adopt information presentation and when to facilitate within a session
  • list 10 characteristics of effective personal presentation techniques
  • effectively incorporate a wide range of visual aids into the program
  • provide positive and constructive feedback to group members
  • handle disruptive members within the group
  • conduct a discussion using four different types of questioning techniques
  • list at least three ways to help participants transfer learning back to the workplace
  • evaluate the effectiveness of their training program.
